Juno. (formerly TruePrep.ai) is an A.I. tax preparation company that sponsored an innovation lab for students to create solutions that improve their tax preparation process. The problem statement was to create a software solution that improves the accuracy and efficiency of tax document review and research.
Brady Corp wanted a software and A.I. solution that focuses on solving critical industry problems related to liquid measurement and analysis. Teams were tasked with designing AI-based solutions to predict liquid levels in containers using images. Additionally, teams were encouraged to explore attributes like liquid color, container dimensions, and other innovative applications that expand the problem's scope.
Discovery World Milwaukee is a science and technology museum that is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of innovators. The museum is committed to making its exhibits and programs accessible to all visitors, including those with language, mobility, age, and other accessibility requirements. The museum wanted a software solution that would help improve accessibility for visitors all visitors; specifically targeting key areas like language translation, accessibility, and age-appropriate context and explanations.
L & S Electric needed a modern, comprehensive desktop application for hydro power excitation system configuration and control. The application needed to provide real-time data visualization, advanced scope analysis, COMTRADE file support for fault analysis, and automated control sequences. The solution had to be reliable, performant, and intuitive for electrical engineers and technicians working with complex power distribution systems.
Next Step Clinic helps families in Milwaukee who have concerns about the mental health and developmental health of their children, including family navigation, screening and evaluation for autism, therapy services, training and more. The clinic was looking for an A.I.-driven solution that could enhance operational efficiency, minimize wait times and provide educational value to patients. Students were challenged to develop a tool that would support health care staff by predicting the level of care required, offering preliminary guidance and preparing patients for their appointments, thereby improving overall patient flow and satisfaction.
When I started my freshman year at MSOE University in the fall of 2022, I had far reaching ambitions for myself. I quickly began doing personal projects to improve my skills, and I needed a place where I could keep a record of each of my projects and my creative process.
When I moved into my college dorm room, I quickly realized that my roommate and I had a nack for losing our keys. As a result I decided to build a machine to open our door for us; therefore, I could reduce the chance of being locked out.
